In this case a photo geek with a high end Nikon camera. The Nikon GP-1 GPS Unit. This will automatically geo tag all your photos for you. Great for certain professions like Real Estate and fun for the whole family. This is a nice toy and ridiculously expensive for a GPS considering you can get one with full maps of the US and Canada for just over $100. But hey it is a gift. I look at a gift as something you want but wouldn’t buy yourself.

This week we take a look at Nikon’s version of the take everywhere camera for the advanced amateur and pro set. The Nikon CoolPix P6000. Like the Canon it can shoot raw, but the Nikon pulls out all the stops and built in a GPS for auto geotagging. This could be useful in lots of professions that involve scouting locations or even remembering where you got that great sunset shot on your family trip. $499 available in September
